Rectory Chef and Catering |
Position Description | The Rectory Chef will work closely with the Vicar for Maintenance in creating a healthy and varied menu for the 5 priests in residence and occasional guest(s). In addition, the Chef will supervise the shopping for groceries for the Rectory. The Chef may pick up these groceries on their way to the Parish, or they may order them online to be delivered to the Parish before the chef arrives. Brunch; and other events as invited. If the chef refuses these events, another caterer will be hired. |
Essential Duties | Shopping; Setting the table; Preparing the meals; Serving meals; and clearing table, washing pots and pans, and loading dishwasher.

Anticipated Hours | The Friars eat dinner at 5:30pm, Monday – Friday. The Chef will be expected to arrive in time to have dinner ready when the Friars come to the table. Anticipated time is 2 – 6:30, Monday – Friday.

Anticipated Pay (range) | $150 – 175 per day.

Additional Notes: The Dominican Friars at Saint Patrick’s are an appreciative community of priests and brothers. The chef will be set up for success. One Friar requires a plant-based diet. How to accommodate this need is an item for discussion.
