The Residential Aide serves St. John's Hospice in such a manner that reflects a positive impact on the men who live at St. John's and the general public that sustains the mission of the commitment.

Focuses on, but is not limited to:

  • Gives medications to residents
  • Coordinates residents on needs, issues, and concerns with Case Managers, Program Manager, and Director
  • Answers phone calls at the front desk
  • Receives donations
  • Writes shift reports, including incidents if any
  • Substitutes for the shifts of co-workers if needed
  • Attends both mandatory, as needed, and scheduled meetings and trainings
  • Conducts monthly fire drills when requested by the Program Manager

Qualifications:

Education

  • Minimum High School Degree or G.E.D. equivalent

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Housekeeping

Experience:

  • 1-3 years working with the homeless population
