Director of Religious Education

Mother of Divine Providence Parish in King of Prussia is looking to fill the position of Director of Religious Education with a dynamic, ministry-minded individual who oversees the functions of the Religious Education Programs and coordinates the sacramental programs. This is a full-time, twelve-month position.

The main responsibilities of the DRE include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and oversee the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) Program
• Administer the elementary parish religious education program for grades 1-7 (PREP and Family Catechesis models)
• Coordinates sacramental preparation programs for all parish youth
• Manage the recruiting, training and ongoing formation of catechists
• Prepare liturgies for PREP and Sacramental Retreats
• Oversee Liturgy of the Word for Children and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
• Participate in and represent Mother of Divine Providence Parish at regional and archdiocesan D/CRE meetings, catechetical workshops and conferences

The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Studies in Theology or Religious Education will be helpful. Strong communication, organizational and technological skills are necessary.
