Job Description:
Visitation BVM School is accepting applications for a First Grade Teacher for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. The Teacher would be responsible for teaching all subjects (Religion, ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science) according to the curriculum and guidelines for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, fostering their spiritual, emotional, social, and cognitive development. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of classroom management, and the ability to integrate technology into daily lessons.
Duties:
· Plan, develop, write and implement the Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum in all areas
· Provide developmentally appropriate instruction in all subject areas
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Utilize learning technology to enhance educational experiences and support diverse learning needs
· Communicate with parents about students’ progress
· Establish and maintain an educational environment consistent with instructional goals
· Manage student behavior to encourage the best possible student educational experience
· Evaluate students’ academic growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare various progress reports and report cards

Requirements:
- College degree
- Teacher certification
- Updated clearances
- Pennsylvania State Police Background Check
- Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI fingerprinting
