ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Catholic Social Services, Community Based Services Division

SUPERVISION: Direction from Preschool Director of Catholic Social Services,              

Casa del Carmen Preschool Academy

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Nutritional Development Services Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the Kitchen Area.  Under the direction of the Preschool Director, the Food Service collaborates to ensure that the organization and maintenance of the children’s Nutritional Development Services applications and monthly paperwork are up to date.  The Nutritional Development Services Coordinator has the responsibility for adherence to the policies of Casa del Carmen Preschool Academy and performs all duties in a responsible manner, with minimum direction, respecting always the confidentiality of the work.    

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be up to date on all trainings and policies from the Nutritional Development Services (NDS).
  • Ordering from NDS.
  • Maintain all NDS paperwork.
  • Accept deliveries from NDS. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and lunchroom.
  • Cover the front desk area when the Administrative Secretary is at lunch. 
  • Cover the front desk area after Administrative Secretary’s day is done. 
  • Answer the phone in a professional manner.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

                                                    

REPRESENTATIVE KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of and orientation to the philosophy of the Agency as presented in the Mission Statement.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, child abuse reporting, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma with an understanding of computers.
