Job Description:

St. Francis de Sales School in University City is looking for an experienced full time Second Grade Teacher with excellent classroom management skills, technology skills and a positive demeanor for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.  The teacher will be responsible for teaching Religion, Reading, Writing and Math in alignment with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum.

We are seeking someone who can develop and implement engaging lesson plans; assess student learning; maintain a positive and effective classroom environment; collaborate with colleagues; and communicate regularly with parents.

Focus

Core teaching duties, including lesson planning, instruction, assessment and classroom management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching license
• Proven experience in classroom management and instruction
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction
