Job Description:

Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School is searching for a full time Pre-K Teacher.  

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and physical education skills tailored to the developmental levels of preschool-aged children.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
  • Assess and monitor children's progress in various areas including literacy education, special education needs, and early intervention strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and provide guidance on supporting learning at home.
  • Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive atmosphere that accommodates diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes health and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a preschool or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of physical education principles as they relate to young children is a plus.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing methods for early learners is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students, including those requiring special education services.
  • A commitment to fostering a love for learning through innovative teaching practices.
