BOOKKEEPER

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-Time (8:00 am – 4:00 PM / 40 Hours a Week)

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The role of the bookkeeper is support the Pastor, Business Manager and Parish.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • High School diploma; Minimum of 2 years of Bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong financial background and knowledge of accounting system (QuickBooks)
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Manage accounts receivable by preparing all deposits, take deposits to the bank and record all deposits.
  • Manage accounts payable by coding all invoices, submit for approval to the business manager. Prepare and process checks once approval has been obtained. Prepare a check request for any items to be paid that are not standard invoices.
  • Prepare purchase order for supplies that are requested.
  • Answer phones, door and any questions that may come up with any visitors. (If a volunteer is not scheduled.)
  • Manage health insurance and benefits for eligible employees.
  • Assist Tuition Monitor with tuition management system (FACTS. Training on the FACTS Tuition Management System will be provided.
  • Keep track of school families annual Church contributions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
