- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To organize, administer and personally perform all work necessary to maintain all parish facilities, grounds, equipment and machinery in top working order at all times. The position is 5 days/week, Benefits available
- Repair minor electrical problems, replace light bulbs, add fixtures, switches, outlets as needed.
- Maintain all heating and air-conditioning units replacing parts as needed, calling in service companies as warranted.
- Set heating/air-conditioning unit controls (depending on season) in accordance with scheduled use of rectory, church, office, CCD and parish hall facilities.
- Empty trash cans in rectory, rectory offices, religious education building offices, classrooms, washrooms, parish hall, etc.
- Set up classrooms for Religious Education classes and meetings as required.
- Set up tables and/or chairs in Parish Hall or video room for special events, scheduled meetings, etc. per published schedule.
- Personally supervise and inspect work of outside contractors hired to perform tasks that cannot be handled personally, such as:
- Other duties as assigned
- Grass cutting
- Landscaping
- Snow removal
- Mechanical equipment repair/replacement
- Plumbing equipment repair/replacement
- Major electrical work
- Roof repairs
- Painting
- Etc.
- Organized, methodical and reliable.
- Able to set own schedule and anticipate and resolve maintenance problems with minimal supervision.
- Communicate maintenance needs/concerns with the Business Manager.
- High School
- Trade/specialty schools helpful
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- At least 5 years of related mechanical, electrical and maintenance/repair experience in a service organization.
